Students of Year 11 Visual Arts are invited to join acclaimed artist Abdul Abdullah for an acrylic portrait painting masterclass at Ngununggula.
This school holiday workshop is specifically designed for Year 11 students of elective Visual Arts to build skill prior to embarking of their HSC Body of Work in Term 4. The masterclass will also include a tour of the Land Abounds exhibition by Ngununggula's Creative Learning Manager .
Workshop materials will be provided. Just bring yourself and a positive attitude.
Spots are limited to 10 people a class, and bookings are essential.
Abdul Abdullah is an Australian multi-disciplinary artist who works across photography, painting, and more recently, textiles. Abdul is a seventh-generation Australian Muslim and a self-described ‘outsider amongst outsiders’. His work navigates the politicisation of identity and engages with issues such as displacement, alienation and experiences of marginalisation.
