We pay our respects to the Gundungurra people who are the traditional custodians of the land, whose deepening connection to culture and customs have cared for this country for over 60,000 years.
We acknowledge Elders past, present and emerging for their immense spiritual connection to place which was never ceded.

We are delighted to present award-winning artist Vincent Fantauzzo in conversation with presenter Robbie Buck as our first In-Conversation Program of 2025. Vincent will discuss his new book, Unveiled, which details his life from early years growing up in poverty and battling dyslexia, to his expulsion from school and his eventual success as an artist. For this event, we are partnering with our friends at The Bookshop Bowral who will host an exclusive book-signing following the in-conversation.
Vincent Fantauzzo was born in England and grew up in Melbourne’s northern suburbs. Fantauzzo emerged onto the portrait scene when his portrait of his friend Heath Ledger won the People’s Choice Award at the 2008 Archibald Prize. The painting was acquired for the Art Gallery of New South Wales collection, and Fantauzzo won the People’s Choice Award again in 2009, 2013 and 2014. In 2011, his Archibald-shortlisted portrait of chef Matt Moran won the Packing Room Prize; and his painting of director Baz Luhrmann was awarded the Moran National Portrait Prize the same year. In 2018, he was commissioned by the Historic Memorials Committee to create the official portrait of Julia Gillard for the Parliament House collection. The National Portrait Gallery commissioned Fantauzzo in 2020 to create a portrait of Hugh Jackman, the first representation of the famed Australian for the collection.
Robbie Buck is a broadcaster with over four decades of experience in TV and radio. He began his career as a ten-year-old hosting a classical music show on community radio in Lismore. After school, he studied photography at the Queensland College of Art before shifting back to radio with a job at Sydney's 2SER-FM. He then joined SBS and the ABC, where he broadcast across the day on triple j, Radio National and ABC Radio Sydney. In December 2024, Robbie announced his departure from the ABC after 28 years.
