We pay our respects to the Gundungurra people who are the traditional custodians of the land, whose deepening connection to culture and customs have cared for this country for over 60,000 years.
We acknowledge Elders past, present and emerging for their immense spiritual connection to place which was never ceded.

Quandamooka woman and artist Megan Cope is our inaugural Pavilion Commission artist. Cope will work in collaboration with the local Aboriginal community to create an installation celebrating language and Dreamtime stories.
The Pavilion Commission is an annual initiative launching our commitment to celebrating Gundungurra language and culture. Each year, an Aboriginal artist or collective is invited to work with the community to create a site-specific installation in Ngununggula's Entry Pavilion, welcoming our visitors while giving insight into the region's rich cultural history.
