Ngununggula's annual Student Art Prize is open to all students in the Southern Highlands. Presented in our Education Space, the Art Prize is themed to our annual summer exhibition. Available to all local students, we work collaboratively with schools to help students develop their winning artworks.

Ngununggula's annual Student Art Prize for 2025 is open to all students in the Southern Highlands. Presented in our Education Space and entry foyer, the Art Prize is themed to our annual summer exhibition. This year the theme will be ‘landscape’ to coincide with the Clarice Beckett: Paintings from the National Collection touring exhibition.

School incursions for the Student Art Prize 2025 are available in Terms 1, 2, 3, & 4.
Entries are to be physically delivered to Ngununggula by Monday 3rd November, 2025
Opening Event and announcement of winners: Sunday 23rd November, 2025 at 2 pm
Exhibition: 22nd November, 2024 - 25th January, 2026
Ngununggula Student Art Prize 2024
Ngununggula's Student Art Prize 2024 for local students K-12 coincides with the Archibald Prize 2024 Regional Touring Program. This year’s theme is ‘PEOPLE PORTRAITS’, students were invited to create an artwork of themselves or someone special to them. The Ngununggula Student Art Prize 2024 was judged by Archibald Winner, Laura Jones.

2023 Ngununggula Student Art Prize
In 2023, the Art Prize was presented in our Education and Entry Pavilion during the New Dog Old Tricks exhibition at Ngununggula and the theme was Pet Portraits!
All schools received an art-making pack, and our Education team delivered over 20 school incursions to assist students with their artwork. We had an overwhelming response and received 207 entries from 23 schools across the Southern Highlands.
